From 1 July 2026, users in Australia will notice some changes when withdrawing or receiving crypto.

What's changing?

When depositing or withdrawing crypto externally, you'll be asked for a small amount of additional information about the other party. Buying, selling and trading on our platform is unaffected.

What's the Travel Rule?

A globally recognised standard enacted into Australian law under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, applying to all registered Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and requiring them to share specific information about the parties to a cryptocurrency transfer.

Why is it being introduced?

The Travel Rule is designed to make it harder to move illicit funds undetected, support law enforcement in recovering stolen assets, and bring the crypto industry in line with established compliance standards across regulated financial markets.

Is my data safe?

Yes. When exchanges share Travel Rule data, they use encrypted messaging protocols that operate entirely separately from the blockchain. Your personal information is never disclosed publicly. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) to ensure your data is protected throughout this process.

How does the process look like?

Sending crypto

During your withdrawal process, you'll see the below screens. Please follow prompts and answer accurately:
